About the Maternal and Child Health Bureau
The Maternal and Child Health Bureau (MCHB) is located within the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. MCHB supports oral health by promoting comprehensive, community-based oral health care that combines public and private delivery systems, maximizes the effectiveness of Medicaid and the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) and encourages the application of science to practice to reduce disease burden.
Oral health activities are supported by Title V Maternal and Child Health Services Block Grants as well as by Special Projects of Regional and National Significance (SPRANS), which support a broad range of innovative strategies.
