Medicaid-Covered Dental Visits During and After Pregnancy
This brief provides information about Medicaid-covered dental visits and dental-related emergency department visit rates during the perinatal period. The information is based on 2018–2019 Medicaid and State Children’s Health Insurance Program encounter data and dental claims from over 200,000 women during the postpartum period from 45 states and the District of Columbia.
